Step 6: Configure dialing properties
- Go to Control Panel > Phone and Modem Options.
- Under Modems tab, select Xidol K5188 > Properties > Advanced tab.
- Enter extra initialization commands (example:
AT&F&K3for hardware flow control).
- Plug in the Xidol K5188 via USB.
- Open Device Manager (
Win + X> M). - Find the "Unknown device" or "USB Serial Port."
- Right-click > Update driver > Browse my computer.
- Point it to the folder where you extracted the CH340 driver.
- Click Install anyway when the warning pops up.
- Hold Shift and click Restart.
- Go to Troubleshoot → Advanced Options → Startup Settings → Restart.
- Press 7 or F7 for "Disable driver signature enforcement."
- Install the driver manually.
