To activate offline, you must differentiate between the versions, as the offline process is primarily designed for the Workgroup edition. 1. EDIUS 9 Workgroup Offline Activation

• Keep your activation key and dongle (if using) in a safe place to prevent loss or unauthorized use.

• Solution: If using a VM, ensure the MAC address is statically assigned in the hypervisor settings before generating the activation request.

Stage 2: Server Validation (On an Online Device)

1. Take the USB drive to a computer with internet access.
2. Open a web browser and navigate to the Grass Valley Activation Portal. (Historically found at activation.grassvalley.com or linked within the support section of their official site).
3. Log in with your Grass Valley credentials.
4. There will be an option to "Upload Activation Request." Upload the file you saved from the offline PC.
5. The server will verify that your Product Key is valid and has not exceeded its allocated number of activations.
6. Once verified, the server will generate a License File (often a .lic file) or a long Activation Key string.
7. Download this file/key and save it to your USB Flash Drive.
