Activating EDIUS X on Offline Computer

  1. Go to the Grass Valley website and download the offline activation file.
  2. Launch EDIUS X on your computer.
  3. Click on "Help" > "Activate" and select "Offline Activation".
  4. Browse to the location of the offline activation file and select it.
  5. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the activation process.

Failed Key Generation: As of early 2025, some users have reported that the registration key file may not generate correctly. If this occurs, open the Task Manager, end the GV License Agent (32bit) process, and then try running GVActivation.exe from the USB stick again.

  1. Install EDIUS X on the offline machine.
  2. The software generates a C2V file (Computer to Vendor).
  3. Take that file (via USB stick) to an internet-connected computer.
  4. Upload it to the Grass Valley License Center.
  5. Download the V2C file (Vendor to Computer).
  6. Bring the V2C file back to the offline machine and import it.
