Installing FA4 Firmware on Faudio Devices: A Step-by-Step Guide

• Regularly check for firmware updates: Make it a habit to regularly check for firmware updates on the Faudio website.
• Read release notes: Before installing a new firmware version, read the release notes to understand what's new and what's changed.

• Process:

  Installation Methods (Two Possible Versions)

  Method 1: Windows .exe Updater (Most Common)

  1. Disconnect the FA4 from power and USB.
  2. Hold the Volume + button while plugging the FA4 into a Windows PC.
  3. Release the button after 2 seconds. The device LED will blink purple/white (DFU mode).
  4. Run the downloaded FA4_Firmware_Updater_vX.X.exe as Administrator.
  5. Click Update. The progress bar will complete in ~10 seconds.
  6. The FA4 will reboot automatically. Do not unplug until you hear “Firmware update complete.”
