Title: FilmyHunk in the Digital Media Landscape: A Case Study of Niche Content Aggregation and Audience Engagement

Abstract

The proliferation of digital platforms has democratized content distribution, enabling niche websites to capture specific audience segments. This paper examines FilmyHunk, an emerging online platform primarily known for aggregating Bollywood, Hollywood (dubbed), and regional Indian entertainment content, including trailers, reviews, news, and downloadable media. Through a mixed-method analysis of its content strategy, user interface, SEO practices, and legal gray areas, this paper assesses FilmyHunk’s role in shaping consumption habits among price-sensitive, data-constrained audiences in semi-urban and rural India. Findings indicate that while FilmyHunk excels in reach and localization, its operational reliance on unlicensed content raises significant sustainability and copyright concerns. The paper concludes with recommendations for transitioning toward a legitimate, ad-supported or hybrid model.
