  Error #2: “Invalid ID or Password” despite typing correctly

  • Why: Caps Lock, trailing spaces, OR your institution’s IP range was recently changed.
  • Fix: First, reset your password (see Part 4). If that fails, try logging in from your university’s campus network (not home Wi-Fi). Some licenses are IP-gated + password-gated.

  ⚙️ Step-by-Step Login (Using Updated Credentials)

  1. Visit the Hinari Gateway:
     https://www.fao.org/hinari/en/
  2. Click “Login via your institution” (or “Access via HINARI”).
  3. Select your country and institution from the dropdown list.
  4. You will be redirected to your institution’s login page.
  5. Enter your updated ID and Password provided by your coordinator.
  6. Click Submit – you should now see the Hinari journal list.
