Plot Overview:
A wealthy baby named Bink gets kidnapped by three bumbling criminals. He escapes and spends the day crawling, toddling, and riding through a major city (Chicago), while the kidnappers chase him and repeatedly injure themselves in slapstick fashion.
Because the film has never received a 4K remaster or a comprehensive “Collector’s Edition,” fans have taken restoration into their own hands. One of the film's most significant production challenges was the casting of the baby. Twins Jacob Joseph Worton and Adam Robert Worton were cast to play the role of Baby Bink to adhere to strict child labor laws regarding infants on set. The climax takes place at a construction site, the final location in Baby Bink's storybook. The baby crawls across high beams and ledges. The criminals attempt to follow him but fall from great heights, get covered in cement, and are ultimately incapacitated. Baby Bink eventually reunites with his parents. In a post-credits scene, the criminals are shown in prison, having discovered that Baby Bink has sent them a copy of the storybook with a message written inside.
