Pokkiri (transl. Rogue) is a 2007 Indian Tamil-language action masala film written and directed by Prabhu Deva. Produced by Kanagarathnam Singamuthu, the film is a remake of the 2006 Telugu blockbuster Pokiri, starring Mahesh Babu. It serves as a landmark commercial vehicle that solidified Vijay’s “mass hero” image and featured a critically acclaimed soundtrack by Mani Sharma.
