Important
- Always follow the specific instructions provided in the Ivoclar Programat P90 manual for detailed operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting procedures.
- Ventilation: The P90 requires a minimum of 10 cm (4 inches) of free space on all sides and above for heat dissipation. Installing it under a low shelf without the specified gap will lead to overheating and premature electronic failure.
- Leveling: The furnace feet are adjustable. An unlevel furnace can cause uneven press pressure, resulting in incomplete or lopsided restorations. The manual includes a spirit level check procedure.
- Initial Heat-Up (Bake-Out): Before first use, the manual specifies a special “Bake-out” program to burn off manufacturing residues from the heating elements. Skipping this can release odors and potentially contaminate first restorations.
Precision Control: It was the first in the series to include a 7-segment display and a numeric keypad, allowing technicians to easily select and modify any of its 90 built-in programs. Ivoclar Programat P90 Manual
- Muffle Selection: Use the large muffle (included) for pressing rings up to 100mm diameter.
- Positioning: Center the pressing ring exactly on the lift table. Off-center rings can crack the muffle.
- Plunger Usage: Insert the ceramic press plunger only after the ring reaches preheat temperature (typically 700°C).
- Pressure Profile: The furnace applies 5-10 bar of pressure automatically—do not manually adjust the plunger during firing.
