In 1990, a French mathematician named André Deledicq visited Australia to study the AMC. He was amazed by what he saw. Unlike the European Olympiads, the Australian competition was fun, accessible, and designed to encourage the masses, not just the elite. The problems were witty and logical rather than dry and impossibly technical. Happy solving
