  3. Launch SketchUp. When prompted, select "I have a license."
  4. Enter your Serial # and the Authorization code.
  5. If offline activation is required, generate a .LIC file from Trimble’s legacy portal (if still accessible).

The most common issue regarding SketchUp 2017 involves the Classic License. In 2020, Trimble officially discontinued the sale of perpetual Classic Licenses.
