A Critical Warning: The Certificate Expiry

Here is the trap everyone falls into.

  1. Insert a 16GB USB drive.
  2. Open Disk Utility -> Erase the USB as Mac OS Extended (Journaled) named "MyVolume".
  3. Run this Terminal command:

  1. Mount the DMG – Double-click it.
  2. Locate Install macOS High Sierra.app – Usually inside a Packages folder or directly in the mounted volume.
  3. Copy it to your Applications folder.
  4. Insert a USB drive (16GB minimum).
  5. Run this Terminal command (adjust the volume name if needed):
    sudo /Applications/Install\ macOS\ High\ Sierra.app/Contents/Resources/createinstallmedia --volume /Volumes/MyUSB --applicationpath /Applications/Install\ macOS\ High\ Sierra.app --nointeraction
