Scenario: If you buy a "Refresh" CPU (like an i5-4590) and plug it into a Ver 1.0 board with an old BIOS, the system will turn on (fans spin), but you will get a black screen.
Solution: You must use an older CPU to update the BIOS, or find an MSI dealer who offers a BIOS chip swap service.
