  • "Cannot connect to recorder" : Check if your Windows PC’s IP address is on the same subnet as the recorder. Disable Windows Firewall temporarily to test.
  • Video is lagging/freezing: Reduce the number of live-view cells. Go to Tools -> Options -> Decode -> Change "Hardware Decode" to "Software Decode" if your GPU is old.
  • Audio not playing: Ensure your camera supports G.726 or AAC audio. In the camera properties inside NX Viewer, click "Audio Reception" to "On."

  • Multi-Site Monitoring: One of the primary strengths of the NX Viewer is its ability to connect to multiple network recorders across different locations simultaneously. This is essential for enterprises with distributed facilities, allowing a single operator to monitor a headquarters and branch offices from one dashboard.
  • Intuitive Playback and Search: The software offers advanced timeline search functions. Operators can quickly navigate through hours of recorded footage, jump to specific time stamps, or use event markers (such as motion detection or alarm triggers) to find critical incidents instantly.
  • High-Resolution Support: Optimized for Panasonic’s 4K and high-definition cameras, the viewer ensures that video streams are displayed with high fidelity. It supports H.264 and H.265 compression standards, ensuring smooth playback even over bandwidth-constrained networks.
  • Camera Control: For PTZ (Pan-Tilt-Zoom) cameras, the viewer provides on-screen controls. Operators can adjust angles, zoom in on suspicious activity, and save preset positions for automated patrolling routines.
  • Advanced Analytics Integration: As part of the i-PRO ecosystem, the viewer supports Panasonic’s AI analytics. This includes features like face detection, intrusion detection, and vehicle identification. The viewer displays metadata tags, allowing operators to filter video based on specific criteria (e.g., "show me all clips where a person is detected").
