- A PSP with custom firmware (CFW) installed
- A PS1 game ISO or a physical PS1 game disc
- A compatible PSP model (PSP-1000, PSP-2000, PSP-3000, or PSP-E1000)
The Stability Sweet Spot
- Version 1.5.x introduced a redesigned interface and better CDDA (Red Book Audio) handling, but also introduced random crashes on Windows 7/10 and bugs converting multi-track BIN files.
- Version 1.6.x attempted to fix these but added DRM-like checks that corrupted saves for some games (e.g., Final Fantasy VII, Chrono Cross).
- Version 1.4.2 is universally stable. It runs on Windows XP through Windows 11 via compatibility mode. It has no activation checks, zero malware, and consistent compression results.
