    In recent years, the global spread of Korean pop culture, known as the Hallyu (Korean Wave), has reached nearly every corner of the world. Armenia is no exception. While Armenian audiences have traditionally enjoyed Russian, Turkish, and Latin American telenovelas, a new contender has taken over the local digital and television landscape: the Korean drama, or K-drama. In Armenian internet spaces, these shows are often referred to under the collective title "Qamu Erkir" (Քամու Երկիր) — which translates to "The Land of Wind" — a title that has become almost synonymous with the entire genre.
