While traditionally bureaucratic documents, press slips have evolved into a subgenre of popular video content on platforms like YouTube, Instagram, and Telegram. This study provides a filmography of significant Tamil films whose press slips became cultural artifacts (1970s–2020s) and analyzes how “popular videos” dissecting, leaking, or parodying these slips have shaped public discourse on censorship, morality, and celebrity culture.
