They eventually reach the Cursed Caldera, a dangerous path into Xadia. Meanwhile, back in Katolis, Viren manipulates the other human kingdoms, attempting to seize power and rally them for a genocidal war against Xadia. He is opposed by the brave soldier Amaya (Callum’s aunt) and the young Queen Aanya. Viren is arrested for treason but later escapes with the help of his daughter, Claudia, and his loyal general, Amaya’s lieutenant Karim.
