As of January 14, 2020, Microsoft officially ended extended support for Windows 7. This cessation of support marked a turning point for the Romanian language pack. While the language packs are still technically functional for existing installations, they are no longer updated or supported by Microsoft. The Windows 7 Romanian Language Pack is a

  • Click Download next to the correct version.
  • A pop-up will appear. Click the link ending in .cab (Cabinet file).
  • Save the file to your desktop.
  • To install the .cab file:

    Since Microsoft has retired many direct download links, you may need to find the official .cab file for the Romanian language pack from a reputable archive. Click Download next to the correct version

    1. Open the Control Panel: Click on the Start button and select Control Panel.
    2. Select the "Region and Language" Option: In the Control Panel, click on "Region and Language" (or "Regiune și limbă" in Romanian).
    3. Change the Display Language: In the "Region and Language" window, click on the "Keyboards and Languages" tab.
    4. Select the Romanian Language: Click on the "Display language" dropdown menu and select "Romanian" (or "Limba română").
    5. Apply the Changes: Click "Apply" and then "OK" to save the changes.
